Discover Capri by Boat - Small Group

Description

Experience Capri from the sea and on land on this small-group full-day boat tour from Naples, including swimming stops and free time on the island.

Meet at the designated point in Naples and enjoy a transfer to the private dock, where you will board a comfortable small boat. As you leave the port and head towards Capri, relax during an approximately 1.5-hour scenic cruise across the Bay of Naples. This route is far more than a simple transfer: as you move away from the busy streets of Naples, it feels like being transported toward a completely different world and a relaxed island escape.

Upon reaching the crystal-clear waters around Capri, you will start a boat tour of the island. Depending on sea conditions and timing, you will sail past and/or stop near some of Capri’s most famous spots, such as the Marvelous Grotto, the White Grotto and the Green Grotto. Along the way, admire natural and man-made landmarks including the Natural Arch, Villa Curzio Malaparte, the iconic Faraglioni Rocks and the Punta Carena lighthouse. In the calm morning light, you may see and hear seagulls circling the cliffs as you enjoy the unique coastal scenery.

Weather and sea conditions permitting, you will enjoy one or two swimming stops in the turquoise waters around Capri. You can take a relaxing swim or, if you wish, try some snorkeling in the warm Mediterranean Sea. Or, if your idea of relaxation is simply to stay on board, you can make yourself comfortable on deck and soak up the sun and views. During the cruise, you will also be served dry snacks and a selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.

After the circumnavigation of the island, the boat will dock at Marina Grande, Capri’s main harbor. Here you will have approximately 2 hours of free time on the island. You can stay in the lower harbor area, with its small collection of shops and restaurants along the promenade, or make your way up to Capri town.

The climb can be done on foot, but it is steep and takes time, so the most practical (and scenic) option is to buy a ticket for the funicular, which takes you up to the town while offering beautiful views. Once in Capri town, stroll through the narrow streets, visit churches and panoramic terraces, enjoy the views over the coves from above and perhaps stop at a café for a drink or a snack while you people-watch.

If you prefer a quieter atmosphere, you may choose instead to visit Anacapri, the island’s other main town. It is possible to walk there from Capri, but many visitors opt for the local bus service that runs frequent round-trip routes between Capri and Anacapri.

At the agreed time and meeting point, you will return to the boat and begin your journey back across the Bay of Naples. Sit back, relax and reflect on what is sure to have been one of the most memorable days of your trip, combining sea, scenery and the unique charm of Capri.
