Civitella del Tronto: Spanish Fortress, Arms Museum and NINA Museum Entrance Ticket
Description
Immerse yourself in Civitella del Tronto's rich heritage with a single ticket to the NINA Museum and Spanish Fortress.
Since 2016, the NINA Cultural Association has curated the NINA Museum, home to over 3,000 pieces of decorative arts, textiles, and fashion treasures from the late 18th to the mid-20th century. Explore rare fabrics, Murano glass, vintage sewing machines, early washing devices, and unique treasures such as a 16th-century Ushak carpet, the first Italian public debt certificate, and luxurious haute-couture garments from Europe.
In 2025, the Association also took over the majestic Spanish Fortress, one of the Kingdom of Naples’ most significant military sites. Standing proud above the town with its expansive 500-meter defensive wall, the fortress bears witness to the Kingdom of the Two Sicilies' final resistance in 1861.
Inside, the Museum of Ancient Arms and Maps showcases an impressive collection of weapons, uniforms, documents, boundary markers, and historic depictions of Civitella, with rare artifacts from the Papal, Bourbon, and Savoy forces.
A captivating journey through noble history, military might, and centuries of cultural influence that shaped this unique border town.
