The activity offers an authentic immersion in the daily life of Merida through its gastronomy and traditions.

Start at Lucas de Galvez Market, one of the most representative of the city, where you explore its corridors full of colors, aromas and fresh produce. There you can learn about local ingredients, taste traditional flavors and select, along with your guide, the inputs you will use later. They then travel by public transport, just as the inhabitants of Merida do, to continue to a local house. In this family atmosphere, your host will welcome you for a practical cooking experience, in which you will learn step by step to prepare a traditional Yucatecan dish.

During the elaboration you will know stories, techniques and customs that are part of the regional identity. At the end, you will enjoy the meal you prepared, accompanied by refreshing drinks and a warm conviviality.
