- Day 1: From Athens to Argolis & Overnight at Olympia
Begin your 4-classical tour early in the morning with a pick up from the majority of the Athens city center hotels. Once you settle inside your air-conditioned minibus, you will depart towards the majestic Peloponnese peninsula via the National highway.After an hour’s drive, make a brief stop to praise the glittering scenery at the remarkable Corinth Canal. Capture the most breathtaking panoramic pictures of this impressive engineering achievement.
Traveling through flourishing hillsides and scenic seaside settlements, you will eventually arrive at Epidaurus, where you will be immersed in the culture of the 4th century BC. Epidaurus is one of the most significant archaeological findings reflecting the brightness of Greek civilization through its extraordinary beauty. This world-renowned theater is the best-maintained ancient theater in Greece, and it is famous for its acoustics.
Next, you will make a quick stop at the first capital of Greece, the picturesque seaside town of Nafplion. Shortly after that, you will reach the ancient Acropolis of Mycenae and encounter a guided walking tour of the remains of this thousand of years old enclosed settlement. Here at the legendary home of King Agamemnon, you will have the opportunity to see the Palace, the cyclopean walls, the treasure of Atreides, and the Lion’s Gate. Next to the Acropolis of Mycenae, visit the Tomb, attributed to King Agamemnon, which is considered one of the most significant accomplishments of the Mycenaean civilization.
In the late afternoon, you will travel to the central-west Peloponnese and arrive in the town of Olympia, where you will spend the night.Transporation

Accommodation - Day 2: From Olympia - The Cradle of Olympic Games to Delphi
Next morning, enjoy a rich breakfast at your hotel before visiting the impressive archeological site of Olympia. Τake in the beauty and the scenery of the entire area as you reach the birthplace of the Olympic Games.
The first games were held at around 776 BC. Their influence was widely received, given the significant participation of all the Greek cities-states, which ceased hostilities throughout the festivities.
Seize this fantastic opportunity to discover possibly the most important sanctuary of Ancient Greece. This place once housed one of the seven wonders of the ancient world, the enormous chryselephantine sculpture the great statue of Zeus. Discover breathtaking landmarks, including the altar where the Olympic Torch is lit, as well as the Stadium. Throughout the visit, your guide will share interesting information about it.
After visiting the Museum of Olympia, you will go on your adventure, driving on through the fields of Eliad and Achaia until the magnificent suspension bridge of Rio - Antirion, a modern engineering wonder. Upon your arrival at Delphi, you will have supper and rest.Transporation

Accommodation - Day 3: From Delphi Oracle to Kalambaka
In the morning, enjoy an abundant breakfast at your hotel before visiting a UNESCO World Heritage site, the so-called center or navel of the ancient world, at the archaeological site of Delphi. Here, the renowned Oracle of Delphi, a council of leaders and pilgrims from all around the world, was playing a vital role in the political and religious life of ancient Hellenes. Make sure you visit the Museum, which houses the "bronze charioteer," an absolute masterpiece of Greek sculpture.After your Delphi tour, you will leave the slopes of Mount Parnassus and cross through Amphissa, Lamia, and Trikala. Travel towards the plains of Thessaly, where Kalambaka is located. Once in Kalambaka, savor a dinner before your overnight stay.Transporation

Accommodation - Day 4: From the Stunning Meteora to Athens
In the morning and after a solid breakfast, you will visit another UNESCO World Heritage Site, the stunning Meteora.In this magical landscape, the true beauty of nature is mixed with the compelling presence of the timeless monasteries hung on top of the tremendous cliffs. Currently, only six are in use, five for the male and one for the female monastic community.On the last day, travel to the spiritual mountain peaks early enough to visit the remarkable eleventh-century-built cloisters of Aghios Stefanos, Varlaam, and Rusanu.On the way back to Athens, get your camera ready to capture the statue of the Spartan King Leonidas as you pass by Thermopylae, where the historic battle against the Persians took place in 480 BC.After a fascinating trip, your 4-Day Classical tour ends back at the original departure point in Athens at around 7 pm.Dresscode in the monasteries: Sleeveless clothing and shorts over the knee for men are forbidden.
