This tour is designed to showcase and tell the story of the Italian heritage that shaped the city, guiding participants through hidden “Little Italies” scattered across Manhattan and the Bronx.

The tour departs at 10:00 AM from PizzArte, an authentic Italian restaurant and café in the heart of Midtown (📍 69 W 55th St, New York, NY 10019).
The first stop is Columbus Circle, dedicated to Christopher Columbus — the Italian explorer who inspired one of the most important celebrations of the Italian-American community in the U.S.: Columbus Day.

From there, you’ll take the subway to Arthur Avenue, the Bronx’s Little Italy — the neighborhood that inspired Robert De Niro and Chazz Palminteri’s A Bronx Tale. Here, Italian families who emigrated in the 1950s and 1960s still live and keep their traditions alive. The guide will introduce you to local figures and share authentic stories of the Italian community. You’ll stroll among historic bakeries, delis, and shops still run by Italian descendants, with free time to enjoy traditional food (not included).

The tour then returns to Manhattan for a stop in Greenwich Village, where you’ll visit a church with strong ties to the Italian immigrant community and a historic café that served New York’s very first cappuccino in 1927.

Finally, you’ll walk to Little Italy in Manhattan, where the tour concludes with fascinating stories of Mafia legends, classic films, and the dreams of Italian immigrants who arrived in New York with nothing but a suitcase and hope for a better life.
