Day 1 : Delhi to Gwalior by Luxury Superfast Train with Lunch – Fort & Ancient Temples
Your journey begins with a warm pickup from your hotel, airport, or residence in Delhi, followed by a transfer in a private, air-conditioned vehicle to the railway station. Board a luxury superfast train to Gwalior, where a delicious lunch will be served onboard.

In the afternoon, your exploration of Gwalior begins with the magnificent Gwalior Fort, often described as “the pearl among Indian fortresses.” Standing tall on a sandstone hill, this imposing structure has witnessed centuries of history, battles and dynasties. Inside the fort, admire its grand gateways, palaces, and intricate carvings.
Highlights inside the fort include:
- Sas Bahu Temple – Despite its name (meaning “Mother-in-law and Daughter-in-law”), this temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. It is famous for its ornate carvings and fine architecture from the 11th century.
- Teli ka Mandir – One of the oldest temples in Gwalior, blending Dravidian and Indo-Aryan styles, with a towering shikhara (spire) that dominates the skyline.
As the sun sets, enjoy panoramic views of Gwalior city from the fort walls before returning to your hotel.

Day 2 : Gwalior Sightseeing – Jai Vilas Palace & Drive to Khajuraho En roujte visit Orchha.
After breakfast, visit the Jai Vilas Palace Museum, the grand residence of the Scindia royal family. Built in the 19th century in European style, the palace is renowned for its opulent Durbar Hall, adorned with enormous chandeliers, intricate ceilings, and a remarkable collection of artifacts, arms, costumes, furniture, and paintings— offering a captivating glimpse into royal grandeur.
Later, begin your drive towards Khajuraho with an en route stop at Orchha, a charming historic town on the banks of the Betwa River. Explore its beautiful palaces, cenotaphs, and temples, which reflect a blend of Mughal and Rajput architecture.
Continue your journey through scenic rural landscapes and arrive in Khajuraho by evening. Check in to your hotel and unwind. The rest of the evening is free—relax at your hotel, stroll through the town, or browse local markets for handicrafts inspired by temple art.

Day 3 : Khajuraho Temples & Cultural Experience
After breakfast, embark on a guided tour of the temples of Khajuraho, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of India’s most celebrated archaeological treasures. Built by the Chandela dynasty between the 9th and 12th centuries, these temples are renowned for their intricate stone carvings, erotic sculptures, and detailed depictions of mythology, spirituality, and daily life.
Your tour includes:
- Western Group of Temples – The largest and most famous group, featuring the Kandariya Mahadeva Temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva, with over 800 sculptures carved into its walls. Other notable temples include Lakshmana and Devi Jagadambi temples.
- Eastern Group of Temples – A collection of Jain shrines, including the Parsvanatha Temple, showcasing exceptional carvings of celestial beings, gods, and apsaras.

Day 4 : Khajuraho to Delhi by Luxury Train – Leisure & Departure.

Later, board a luxury train to Delhi, where meals will be served onboard for your comfort.
