Tampere - Towers of Tampere

Description

Tampere – the largest inland city in the Nordic countries – is situated on a magnificent esker ridge between two large lakes, Lake Näsijärvi and Lake Pyhäjärvi. The city's skyline is dominated by three impressive towers, offering stunning views and showcasing the city's diverse charm. The tour begins at the Pyynikki Observation Tower, where the group meets the guide and travels to each of these lofty destinations.

From the Pyynikki Observation Tower, one can admire the esker ridge formed by the Ice Age, stretching from northwest to southeast. The Pyynikki Observation Tower rises atop the world's highest sand ridge, also offering Tampere's most delicious doughnuts.

At the Solo Sokos Hotel Torni Tampere – Moro Sky Bar, the magnificent view reveals how the riverside marketplace grew into the splendid "Manse" during industrialization. The view tells the story of how the industrial city evolved from serving bakers' "Riäväkylä" to becoming a modern university town and a cultural theater destination. The modern Torni Hotel towers in the heart of the downtown area, serving as a lunch destination during the tour.

From the heights of Näsinneula, one can see farther than from other towers. Tampere appears as a city surrounded by green forests and blue waters. The tour is crowned with a sparkling toast at the Näsinneula Tower at a height of 120 meters.
