Guided hike to Appelsinhaugen ("Orange hill")

Description

Finnsetveien. When you start your walk in Fageråsen, you soon feel the atmosphere in the forest, where you move up the old hiking path, first used by the Sami, then by everyone who was going from Umskaret to Mo or vice versa. The road is not too steep, and there are several places where you can stop and take pictures looking over the city. Once at the top, you will reach Appelsinhaugen. A lovely and very popular family hike, or for those who fancy an easy and accessible hike up from the center of Mo i Rana.
Finnsetveien is probably the oldest hiking trail in Mo I Rana. It was Tora Meyer who in 1935-1936 had the trail up to Appelsinhaugen upgraded. Once at the top, you are rewarded with a lovely panoramic view. A great and rich "gapahuk" that is worth going inside to see all the things decorating it. The trip takes about 20-30 minutes up to the destination and the same down. One way is 2km. The trip can also be cycled with a mountain bike.
We take you on this guided hike to have a view of the city and its surroundings. This is a hike that takes you up to a viewpoint known as the "Appelsinhaugen". When we go up to around 170 meters above sealevel, we will tell you the story of this trail and the town. When we get to the top of the "roof" of Mo I Rana, you will get a fantastic view of the city. The hike takes approximately three hours each way, and we can either pick you up at your hotel, or we can meet you at the starting point. Maps will be available to you at your hotel.
We make coffee on the fire, and you can have lunch up there too. We start from the ski jump in Fageråsen approx. at 2 p.m, and is back approx. at 5 p.m.
Included:
Map, Guide, Bonfire, Oranges.
NOTE! This experience is NOT carried out with less than 3 participants! BUT, if you want, you can pay for 3 and be less!
