Contemporary Art and Architecture Tour

Description
Explore the big questions and aesthetic of modernity in a tour dedicated to contemporary art and architecture. We’ll start in the newest neighborhood of Buenos Aires, Puerto Madero, raising questions about the tensions between modernity and tradition as we walk through an old port turned high rise district. Here, we’ll see the emblematic Woman’s Bridge before crossing it to arrive at the Kirchner Cultural Center, Latin America’s largest of its kind. After taking in the monumentality of this old, french looking building, we’ll head inside to see the contemporary transformation of this place through its architecture and exhibitions. Then, we set off to San Telmo to explore MAMBA, the best museum of Contemporary Argentine Art in the city, where we’ll see some of the work of Argentina’s finest and check out their temporary exhibitions. After walking a little
through the neighborhood of San Telmo (and visiting a mystery art gallery), we’ll finish the day off at Fundacion Proa in La Boca, drinking some coffee with a view of the river.
If a museum or gallery is closed, we will visit another attraction not listed on this tour.
