Icy Strait: Wilderness on Chichag Shared Small Group Tour

Description
Begin your adventure by meeting your guide at the Excursions Hub. Hop into a comfortable passenger van and set off on a scenic drive around Chichagof Island. As you travel, listen to your guide share stories about their lives in rural Alaska and their experiences with local wildlife.
Keep your eyes peeled for bears, river otters, mink, bald eagles, and martens. The Bay of Bears, known for its abundance of salmon, is home to six major salmon streams. Once the yearly salmon spawn begins, the streams are teeming with wildlife looking for fish.
One of the highlights of the tour is the opportunity to pick your own berries and herbs. Your expert guide will describe the medicinal purposes of the local plant life, explaining the healing properties and nutritional benefits. Some of the wild berries growing here contain more nutrients than any cultivated berries per pound.
This tour is very special, providing an experience that you won't find anywhere else. You will not regret getting off the beaten path and joining this experience!
Your final excursion voucher with comprehensive Meeting Instructions will be issued 4 weeks before your excursion date.
