Come for a Holiday by the Sea, Nurturing Your Body and Mind with Yoga and Sailing.
On the weekend, we will breathe in the fresh sea air, enjoy the warmth of the sun on our skin, and listen to the sound of the waves against the side of the boat. Let the waves wash away your unnecessary worries and bring gentleness and rejuvenation.
The weekend begins on Friday evening with calming yoga and a delicious dinner. On Saturday, we will awaken our bodies with morning yoga, after which we will spend the whole day at sea aboard the traditional sailing boat Tacksamheten, enjoying the archipelago scenery. We will have lunch and afternoon coffee on the boat, and if the weather permits, we can take a dip in the sea and enjoy a leisurely day together. In the evening, we will return to shore, where a restaurant dinner, sauna, and yoga await us. On Sunday, we will have a relaxed breakfast, do yoga, and the weekend will conclude with lunch.
We will be staying at the lovely B&B Köpmans, located near the sea in the village of Nagu. Saturday's lunch will be served on the boat while other meals will be at the legendary à la carte restaurant L'Escale, the longest-running restaurant in the archipelago.
Tacksamheten is a sailing boat lovingly handcrafted by its owner. It is easy to handle, and all who wish can participate in raising the sails, steering the boat, and learning about its operation. You can also simply enjoy the ride, as there will be enough crew on board to handle the sailing.
The yoga sessions during the weekend will consist of gentle flow yoga and relaxing yin yoga. No prior experience in yoga is necessary. The yoga classes will be held at Yoga Archipelago's studio, or if the weather allows, some sessions will be held outdoors by the sea. The classes will be led by Yoga Archipelago's professional yoga instructors. The studio has all the necessary equipment, from mats to bolsters.
A detailed program and information letter will be sent to registered participants about two weeks before the event.
Here’s a rough schedule:
Friday
• 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM: Arrival in Nauvo and check-in
• 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM: Opening of the yoga weekend and gentle flow yoga at the yoga studio
• 7:45 PM - 9:00 PM: Dinner at Restaurant L'Escale by the sea
Saturday
• 8:00 AM - 8:30 AM: Sun salutations and awakening the body and mind by the sea
• 8:30 AM - 10:00 AM: Breakfast at the accommodation
• 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM: Sailing, during which we will stop at a calm place to anchor, enjoy lunch on the boat, and those who wish can swim. During the sailing day, you can participate in sailing maneuvers, but it is not required. You can also simply relax on deck, read a book, or admire the scenery.
• 5:00 PM - 6:30 PM: Sauna opportunity
• 6:30 PM - 8:00 PM: Dinner at Restaurant L'Escale by the sea
• 8:15 PM - 9:30 PM: Good night yin yoga at the yoga studio
Sunday
• 8:00 AM - 10:00 AM: Breakfast at the accommodation
• 10:00 AM - 11:30 AM: Refreshing flow yoga at the yoga studio or outdoors by the sea
• 12:00 PM: Check-out from rooms
• 12:15 PM: Lunch at Restaurant L'Escale; the yoga weekend concludes
In August, as schools have already started in Finland, Nauvo's busiest summer season is over, allowing us to enjoy a slightly more tranquil summer paradise. In Nauvo, in addition to our organized program, you can walk nature trails, relax on the rocky shores, shop in beach boutiques, enjoy a drink at the beach bar, listen to live music, or simply unwind with a book in your room.
You are welcome to our yoga weekend alone or with company—everyone can be as social or private as they wish, depending on what feels best in the moment. Come as you are.
Included
The price includes accommodation in a shared twin room, all meals for the weekend, the program, and the necessary life jackets on the boat.
Accommodation in a single room is available for an additional fee of €120 per person for the weekend.
Excluded
The price does not include travel to Nauvo.
Know before you go
Bring weather-appropriate outdoor clothing and shoes for sailing, sun protection, swinsuitand towel, clothing suitable for yoga, and a water bottle.
