Zodiac Coastal Tour with Naturalist Guide: Lunenburg

Description

We are the only operator in the area offering guided tours in heavy duty, expedition Zodiacs. These popular, inflatable boats are identical to the ones you would find on expedition ships around the world. We operate them as polar photographers and expedition guides in Canada’s sub-arctic and Antarctica!

So what will we see? It is common to see numerous seals, osprey, great blue herons, mink, and deer (among other fauna) as we Explore the South Shore. We’ll also talk about flora, fauna and geology as we cruise Tanner’s Pass, Schooner Cove, Heckman’s Island and the Back Passage to Lunenburg. It truly is one of the prettiest parts of Nova Scotia!

Please contact us if you have any questions at all!

Know before you go

Please bring warm, waterproof and/or water resistant layers. This is crucial for those mild, rainy days and could make or break your experience. We operate in rain or shine and there's always a chance you could get splashed on zodiacs. You may also want to bringing a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, and a full, reusable water bottle, especially for the sunny days of summer! We also suggest footwear appropriate for walking/hiking. It’s common for us to beach the zodiac so we can explore various islands. We cannot guarantee that electronics (phones/cameras) will be safe from rain or ocean spray while on tour. We leave it to you to make a judgment call on the day of your tour.
