The tour continues to Piazza Ercole and the historic building of Pontercole, the ancient noble parliament of Tropea. A few meters away you reach the Cathedral of Santa Maria di Romania, of Norman construction, and then proceed through the scenic viewpoints with the famous view of Santa Maria dell'Isola; also known as Isolabella. The sanctuary is owned by the abbey of Montecassino, and for about 1000 years it has overlooked the sea and the marina with the beach at its feet.
