Luxor overday by bus

Description

If you can’t get enough of history, this tour is pure culture — and you’ll never forget it!

Experience the magnificent Karnak Temple, the Colossi of Memnon, the Valley of the Kings, and finally the stunning Temple of Queen Hatshepsut.

Description:

Your tour guide will pick you up early in the morning from your hotel entrance, and you will travel south towards Luxor. Along the way, you’ll pass several Upper Egyptian villages, giving you a glimpse of daily life in this part of Egypt.

In the city of Luxor, you will visit (tickets included) the following monuments:

Karnak Temple

You’ll begin your journey at the Karnak Temple — one of the most extraordinary temples in the world, still in remarkably good condition after thousands of years.
With a little imagination, you’ll feel transported back to ancient times as you explore this sacred site.
Take your time to stroll through the vast entrance area, admire the massive pylons, walk along the avenue of ram-headed sphinxes, and enter the impressive Hypostyle Hall with its more than one hundred towering columns.
Marvel at the hieroglyphs and wall paintings, see the sacred lake, and explore various chapels, temples, and statues.
And don’t forget to visit the Holy Scarab near the lake — according to legend, walking around it three times clockwise brings good luck and prosperity!

Valley of the Kings

After lunch, you will visit the Valley of the Kings, where the ancient Egyptians buried their pharaohs.
Descend into three of the royal tombs and admire the remarkably preserved colorful paintings and hieroglyphs that tell stories of the afterlife.

Colossi of Memnon

Next, you’ll stop to admire the 3,400-year-old Colossi of Memnon — two gigantic statues of Pharaoh Amenhotep III.
These impressive monuments once guarded his long-lost mortuary temple, which was even larger than Karnak itself.

Temple of Queen Hatshepsut

The final highlight is the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut — one of Egypt’s most fascinating rulers.
This magnificent structure stands as a testament to her power and vision, featuring grand colonnades, porticoes, statues, and colorful reliefs.
At the end of the visit, you’ll have the opportunity to stop at a local perfume and papyrus workshop, where you can purchase unique gifts for your loved ones.

Return

The program finishes around 17:00, after which you’ll head back comfortably to Hurghada.
