Iivaara snowshoe adventure

Description

Iivaara fell is a distant, quiet, magical place far away from everything. The name Iivaara means dark (Ii) + fell (vaara). It is the highest fell in southern Kuusamo and from the summit you can see all the way to the horizon. Sit under silent snowy spruce trees and taste some snow, see the fells of Russia in east and listen to the arctic silence. I'll tell you about the nature around us and our life here in north. And of course we have a break by the campfire with trail meal. Would you like to have pancakes in the middle of the wilderness?

Duration is 5 hours and length of the hike is about 6-8 km. The route is partly challenging with steep and rather long uphill, but we take is slowly and have breaks when needed. The adventure begins by short introduction to snowshoeing, so no previous experience for snowshoeing is needed. Normal physical condition and adventurous mind is what you need. Remember to take your camera with full battery and dress properly.

This is a private tour for 1-8 persons. Normal price is for 2 or more persons. If you are coming alone, choose solo traveler's price.
